The AIRVG2024 aviation event, held on May 13, 2024, in Velika Gorica, delighted many visitors, including 700 aviation photographers from 25 countries. Taking place at the old terminal of Franjo Tuđman Airport, it featured various aircraft and helicopter demonstrations. Highlights included the Krila Oluje aerobatic team’s performance, which received thunderous applause. Visitors were also drawn to the farewell ceremony of the MiG-21 and the first-ever presentation of the Croatian Air Force Rafale. Exhibits from the Aeronautical Technical Center and Aeronautical Technical School fascinated attendees, especially children.
Officials praised the event’s organization and high turnout, noting the popular demonstration flights by MIGs and Rafales. Panels and exhibits promoting careers in military aviation attracted significant public interest.
