Every year, a lot of people commemorate the soldiers killed in Normandy who fought in World War II during what is known as D-Day. For the US Air Force, it is a major event that they commemorate every year - this year for the 79th time. The commemoration involves many transport aircraft and parachute jumpers, not only from the USAF, but also from the German and Dutch Air Forces. This year, we had the opportunity to join crews from the 86th Airlift Air Wing from Ramstein AFB during formation flights over Normandy and the parachute jumpers' drop.
