Previously, we were presenting Maher Zaher, who’s a pilot from UAE and doing training with British Aerobatic Academy. Completing his basic course, he visited the BAA site again to continue with his aerobatic rating and enhance his flying skills on board Extra EA-200 aircraft.
This what he told us, meeting him again at Connington airfield to shoot more videos of him while in-training.
Even since I was a kid, I was always dreaming of flying. Looking at many aerobatic pilots, I knew that this is my destiny and that I want to pursue my career also as aerobatic pilot.
“Believe” was always my motto that was leading me through all my ventures and was pushing towards my goals.
Now, by hard work and many flown hours, I have progressed my aviation career to higher level – aerobatics, airshows and championships pilot, what is a great and, at the same time, magical adventure.
Each flight or maneouver require hard preparations on ground, where the speed, altitude and all required angles are calculated and it’s essential part of display and training.
When you pilot an aircraft, you must be fully focused and perfectly know what you’re doing. Precision is the key here, to execute all figures perfectly. Flying a full loop or half-cuban eight require also great physical conditions as you can easily gain the force of +6G or even +8G on your body and still be able to control the aircraft. This all require significant aerial cooperation, but this is what I love.
Seeing many happy faces and people I inspire, seeing their smiles on ground and the happiness I can give them, is the best view in the world. You know that after successful display, not only you have conquered another part of aerobatic world, but also introduced some magical part in every single one of your spectators.
That’s what drives me towards the magic of aviation – believing in making the magic happen. And I hope to contribute even more towards this now and in the future.
